This compilation is designed to showcase some of the most famous and promising names in Russian and Ukrainian jazz today. Placed side by side, twenty six performers and ensembles embody a wonderful range, one that continues to grow.
Beginning with the echoes of a distant folk song, "Flight" gradually illustrates how contemporary artists emerge both from a respect for prior generations and through a spirit of progressive risk-taking.
